I have returned a package from here in the UK some 5 weeks ago and I understand that it is still in Milano Customs awaiting investigation. Can yo please explain why it has been held and when it will be forwarded back to the company so I can get refunded for my purchase of 2 pairs of sunglasses. Tracker number is RN 64 77 47 72 4 GB.
Dear Operational Staff at the Italian Customs,
I am writing on behalf of Fu Chong Cheng Peter, a visitor to your country. He bought a Tumi luggage bag in Dusseldorf, Germany on 10 November 2021 for his personal use. He arrived Milan on 12 November 2021.
When departing Milan on 18 November 2021 back to his home country Singapore, he presented the GST Tax Refund form at the Global Blue counter at the Malpensa Airport. The Global Blue staff told us to hand the form to the Customs Office which was after the Immigration check point. As the size of the Tumi luggage bag was large, we had to check the bag in at the Singapore Airlines Check-in counter before clearing immigration.
Imagine our bewilderment when the lone customs officer manning the office told us in fragmented English that it was not possible. With his forceful Italian language and hand gestures with his two fingers pointing towards his eyes, he indicated that he wanted to see the Tumi bag. He refused to hear our explanation that the Tumi bag could not be brought to his office as it was large and had to be checked in first. In the end, he scribbled three illegible words on the form and waved us on.
I am sure there were such similar incidents before this and there will be more to come. My query to you is this: Is there a better system to process the tax refund procedure under this circumstances and if there is, are you prepared to implement it?

I have returned an item to Italy and received information that it has cleared customs. Delivery was attempted but no answer.
The item is at the office with poste Italiane, but the company has told me that they can’t do anything until they are contacted by customs.
Please can you help.
