Solomon Islands Mandatory documents

i) Cargo vessels, including container, general, bulk, petroleum, gas, and palm oil vessels

You’ve to submit the Documents to Comptroller of Customs a minimum of 3 working days before vessel arrival.

Documents Required:

  • Voyage Memo covering past 21 days
  • Customs Clearance from previous port
  •  IMC Crew List
  • Free Pratique
  • Full Cargo Manifest
  • Master statement of

– Full vaccination of crew
– No sickness aboard
– No shore leave in Solomon Islands
– Details of Disinfection using diluted bleach and listing which public areas, wheelhouse, and gangway have been treated

Health Requirements

  1. Crew no longer require a negative PCR test prior to arrival in SI.
  2. Crews disembarking in Solomon Islands must produce evidence of full vaccination.
  3. In the interests of common sense and wellbeing, any crew who feels unwell should undergo PCR testing and if found to be positive should be immediately isolated
  4. Customs and Bio-security may rummage (search) any vessel, as required (sole decision of Customs Risk Team).

ii) Log Vessels

You have to produce the above documents and also with, the Vessel may report and clear inwards or outwards at either Honiara or Noro Agent must detail all intended log ponds to be visited and approximate dates of visit

  • Stevedores may board and disembark in either Honiara or Noro
  • All boarding stevedores must be fully vaccinated
  • Agent is to send full details of vaccination cards to Comptroller prior to boarding of stevedores
  • Stevedores are to maintain crew separation at all times
  • Vessel Master is to report any sickness of stevedores to Comptroller and Health prior to disembarking stevedores Preferred but not mandatory Stevedores undertake negative RAT prior to boarding

iii) Fishing Vessels

  • Documentation to be sent 5 days before vessel arrival to Director Fisheries
  • Documentation required is As per 1 above
  • Director Fisheries, after assessment, will notify Comptroller of Customs to organise inward and outward vessel clearance with SIG Agencies

iv) Tugs, barges, special vessel arrivals (such as naval visits etc)

As per 1 above, 5 Yachts, super-yachts and leisure ships (cruise ships) Documentation to be submitted to Comptroller a minimum of 3 days before vessel arrival

  2. Voyage Memo covering past 21 days

  5. Passport Photo/ID page of all persons aboard (Yachts and Superyachts)
  6. Full Cargo Manifest (or NIL Manifest)
  7. Master statement of –
    i. Full vaccination of crew
    ii. Full vaccination of passengers
    iii. No sickness aboard
    iv. No shore leave in Solomon Islands

Health Requirements

  •  Crew and passengers no longer require a negative PCR test prior to arrival in SI.
  •  Crew and passengers disembarking in Solomon Islands must produce evidence of full vaccination (18 years of age and over).
  • In the interests of common sense and wellbeing, any crew or passenger who feels unwell during the voyage should undergo PCR testing and if found to be positive should be immediately isolated and the Master must notify Customs or Health – preferably prior to arrival.
